My Creative Process Revealed

Over the last couple of years, I’ve been honing my creative process. It’s a formula I’ve developed to bring my ideas to life with ease and efficiency. Why? Because I’m a one-man band, I’m responsible for everything across my business and streamlining my processes is essential. In addition to thrifting, upcycling, making, content creation, creating my online Power Tool Course and writing my first book, Dream Home DIY, I’m the accountant, the stylist, the editor, the photographer, the spokesperson, and so much more. It’s a LOT.

And whilst I am totally and utterly in love with what I do, a couple of year ago I couldn’t ignore the consistent pinch points in my creative process that made me feel flustered, frustrated and resentful. Decision fatigue was becoming real, and I knew I had to break the cycle and fix the missing link in my creative chain. It’s taken me a while to get here, but I’m so excited to share my creative process with you; consider it a roadmap into my mind and how I manage to get everything done, without collapsing at the end of every day. In my world, creating is a process that unfolds one step at a time. Each project is unique, and the outcome is always different. But what keeps me grounded is my creative process. It guides my decision-making and keeps my mental health in check.
